Auction Buying & Selling

Buying at Auction

Bucks County AuctionAll auction events produced by Stephenson's are open to the public. All bidders must register and receive a unique bidder number. In order to register, potential bidders are asked to present a driver's license (or other acceptable identification) and provide a telephone number.

Previews are held prior to every auction. At these previews, potential bidders can examine any items of interest and ask questions of our expert staff members. They will provide honest opinions regarding the quality, condition, value and provenance of any item in the auction.

Note: If you cannot attend the preview in person, you can still obtain a condition report and emailed photos by calling, emailing or faxing us. Our staff will respond to your request as promptly as possible.

Absentee bids are accepted by filling out a form at the auction preview, or by telephone, fax, or email prior to the auction. For online auctions, you may bid absentee or live via the Internet as the sale is taking place, through LiveAuctioneers.com.

After the auction has concluded, or after you have completed bidding on all items of interest, simply present your bidder number and pay for your purchases. Payment for and pickup of purchased goods are required on the day of the auction. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, Visa, MasterCard or an approved check. If you are the winning bidder on any lot, please be advised that a buyer's premium and Pennsylvania sales tax will be added to the hammer price. Sales tax will not be applied if you hold a current and active tax exemption certificate and have completed an exemption form that is currently on file with Stephenson's.
